With reference to the closing sentence of your letter

of the 29th December, we beg to point out that it is essential for the speedy settlement of this matter that our telegraphic communication with our Mr.Sanders in New York should be un- fettered.

We shall be much obliged therefore if you can cause instructions to be issued to the Censore for the immediate release of a cable message despatched by Mr. Sanders, New York, on or before the 6th inst., which is being withheld, and for the prompt delivery of all other messages which may be re- ceived in London for us, or addressed to the undersigned.
